This Site is Not Dead.

It's just on vacay. A very long, very extended, very forced, very infuriating vacation. Of the many downgrades in my life over the past several months, the inability to do anything remotely creative has by far been the absolute worst and most insufferable of all.

I mean really... it took 4 months for me to update my site. And its just to say that I can't update the site. Yet through all of this, I am still so obstinately insistent that Gun episode 2 will be completed.

I'm either incredibly smart, or incredibly stupid.

At any rate, the latest updates are now, and have been for some time, on the bliggity blog baby.

Go get that shit! Word.

Latency Continues.

This is the first time in over a month that I've had a chance to update this site. I have not had access to any of my programs in a long time. It's a real kick in the nuts, being so close to finishing episode 2 and being separated from the means to actually complete it. I'm pulling strings to the best of my ability to get those means within my reach once again.

For now, I'm just making minor cleanups. I'm still in the process of spring(summer?) cleaning this website, and have just gotten rid of more junk from the rants section, which I will probably delete altogether once I overhaul the entire site.

Latency sucks.

Art Gallery Update.

The art gallery has been recoded with funky javascript and kung-fu action. It's a way less bulky section now and easier and prettier to navigate for you, my dear site visitor. I do hope you enjoy it and all changes yet to come.. including the MAJOR overhaul!

Tweaks and Adjustments

You may have noticed that the front page, indeed all of the pages look a little different now. Well that's because I deleted the stagnant music area of the site, which still had no real content worth showcasing. It was just sitting there taking up space, so in an effort to clean up and streamline the website, I decided to give it the heave-ho. In addition, I've cleaned out both the art and animation areas, getting rid of the stupid absurd animations and art pieces that I feel are unnecessary, including alot of the older poetry.

So if you liked those pieces and you still want to see them, you're gonna have to email me for them, because as of today, they are no longer available to the public. Apologies.

I feel like the presentation of this site needs to take a new turn, one with a more refined and simple approach. Just a few changes of many to come. The future changes will be absolutely major. The entire site is getting overhauled in the near future as well, probably some time during Spring of 2008.

Be on the lookout for that. It will be swelllllll.

Newsy News - THE BLOOOGGGGGGG!!!!!!

I have been working like a maniac-insane-crazy person. Seriously. It's been fun though. Now there's new shit brewing, and finally some of the residue of that is bubbling up to the surface.

OK, enough stupid analogies. The official Heretik Studios Blog, The Heretik Times, is now up and running. So if you wanna read about the little nuances of my day and the work I'm doing on a more frequent basis, have at it. Also, this site is gonna be majorly overhauled soon, and this step is all part of that. Believe me, shit is definitely moving forward. Hope you enjoy it all.

Some things that everyone should know

1. Episode 2 is moving toward completion, rest assured.

2. It is bigger, more technically tweaked, and longer than the first episode.

3. It is a shitload of work.

4. It will be worth it.

In addition to that, major changes are also in the works for Heretik Studios, so be sure to hit up the site in the wake of the release of episode 2 for all new stuff.

Crunch week, Road trippin', Upcoming "Gun" Features

Hey. Well the bad news is all that work was seriously deteriorating my health, and i was having some serious problems. Suffering from involuntary muscle twitches and a blood pressure issue, I decided to take it easier this past week. The good news is it helped me get back to normal, or at least much closer to it. It also allowed me the time to step back and develop other things that I think fans of Gun will like and appreciate.

I began developing a brand new World of Gun section for this website, with vastly enhanced presentation and updated content, and lots of little supplemental things to keep people entertained after they've seen the series and want a little more. It should be really nice if I can get it to all come together correctly. So be on the lookout for that.

I'll be in Reno again next week, so the work that's still left to do on the actual episode will slow down a bit I expect, but I am taking all of my materials on the road and will be working anyway, thanks to the help of good friend and fellow artist Ramon Rodriguez. Should be some good times on the horizon! See you then. Peace.

Pushed to the brink of chaos.

Hi.... it's 5:30 AM. i havent slept yet. I've been working on Gun Episode 2 more than ever. I sleep maybe one or three hours per night, I eat one meal a day, I drink coffee like water, and have dreams of little brush tools and motion tweened keyframes when i doze off in my chair, my head aches constantly, and I honestly am losing track of what day of the week it is.

Having said that, the work is going well.

And here's a new treat for fan's of Gun... now you can publicly show your support for the series and post your thoughts and comments and ideas and whatever else on the new home of Gun on myspace! Just visit the page and join the fray.

Business as usual.

I have been BUSY. Yes... very busy. With "Gun". Working like crazy. I would bother to write details about the status of it all, but to be honest I'm too busy working on it. Suffice it to say, it's really coming along faster than it has in previous months.

And all this while making preparations for "Cara-Hoe", the independent arts exhibition in which "Gun - Episode 1" was featured. Mind you, I really didn't do anything in terms of preparations since the show was in Reno, NV and I'm in NYC. But still being involved with the planning and everything. The show was a success and I'll post some pictures from the event soon... even though I wasn't there!

More soon. Gun is calling. Bye kids.

Taking the low road, plus news from friends!

People, people, people. My apologies indeed for the recent lack of updates. I doubt anyone cares, but I have been insanely busy for the past three months and I think that FINALLY things are starting to settle down. I realized that we are approaching a year since episode one of Gun was released and I'm still not done with episode 2. I feel like a slug taking the low road here, and I'm truly sorry to any of you who have been loyally waiting for the next set of material. But you know what... even slugs eventually get where they wanna go. The work continues right now.

In the meantime, I'd also like to put you on to some cool shit that's come from my good buddy and fellow artist, Ramon Rodriguez. He has just released the first issue of his comic "Pre-Teen Drama" and it can now be purchased online. Back from the Future

Hey folks. A bit of a slowdown to let you know about. I haven't done a single drop of work on Gun episode 2 since feburary 1st. Why?

Simple. I was on vacation. Two weeks in the UK will slow you down a tad. But I'm back on American soil now and ready to roll, so I just thought I'd share that with the world. Ok bye.

Gun - Episode 2 Screens Now Available!

Hello and Happy New Year! It took a little longer than expected but there are indeed some screenshots from the currently-in-development second episode of Gun. There may be more to come in the future as the episode develops further but for now, there's some proof that I haven't just been sitting on my ass all holiday season! Full Steam Ahead to Previews

Giggity giggity. The second episode of Gun marches on and lemme tell you, production this time around is alot more meticulous. Does that mean people will be waiting three years for the next episode like the wait for the first one? No... two is more feasible. Hehe.... is he joking?

Of course. Anyway, all the current work on the episode means that preview material should be coming your way in the near future, so expect some screens and maybe some more Gun shit in the coming weeks.

Also I realize I haven't updated the music section yet, but I haven't forgotten. I just don't like my music that much so I'm being uber-selective about it. Anyway you won't care either way. Keep doing whatever it is you do. I'll be around soon.

The "Non-update" Update

Hey. I'm not dead. I was just on vacation. and very busy. and doing all sorts of stuff. in different cities. with different people.

The Gun... still being loaded folks. The episode is progressing and I've been getting some nice work in from some talented voice actors, slowly bringing things to life. BOOM. Oh also there's a new poem up if you want some pretty words to read.

The viewers of NG have shown lots of love for Gun Episode 1, making both parts 1 and 2 Daily Features and having both featured on the front page! Recently part 2 reached the over 25,000 viewer mark, and seems to be going strong. Thanks to all the viewers of NG. Episode 1, part 1 of "Gun" is now up and running on Newgrounds in its special split-segment format, exclusively designed for Newgrounds.com. Thanks to all the viewers at NG for their support and compliments, and fair critiques. Episode 2 is currently in development, and the work will be intense but hopefully worth it in the end.
