Works In Progress

Hi again.

Halloween week included a brief visit from my girlfriend, some concert hopping, and lots of new reading.

But no new work.

Until now anyway. Sadly, my girl is gone again. However, the best way to get back to normal for me is to do just that - get back to normal.

Normal is getting the next episode of
Gun finished.

I worked for about 6 hours tonight, on and off between cups of hot chocolate and little chicken parmigiana sandwiches (don't ask. My diet is strange sometimes.). Anyway, I have been saying for awhile now that I'd really like to post some new screens or something. Nothing special. Just some tangible evidence that I am working and there are new things being produced. So in the spirit of sharing, I screened some of tonight's work in progress. Yes, lovely screens, which include the entire Flash interface, so you get an even more in-depth taste of what I'm cooking here.

Here you can see an illustration of a new character, which I worked on tonight. First we have the before picture, where the basic drawing is taking shape:

And here we have the after picture. The shot is completed and you can see the result of several hours of drawing and reshaping and coloring and changing things around and blah blah, effing-blah:

Was it worth all the trouble? Probably not. The shot is maybe 2-3 seconds long, maximum. But such is the life of an animator I guess. Lots of work for minimal exposure. Passion makes fools of us all.

Hope you all love the end results of all the time I'm spending trying to craft something enjoyable and captivating.

Respek. lol.
