BIO:
The fiery-haired assassin, Makai, or simply Kai to those
who know him, is an individual with a complex existence. A native of Uro
City's Nagai District, Kai has grown used to the increasingly torrid conditions
that creep throughout Uro, draining the city's once vibrant atmosphere
day by day. He has grown a marked disdain for the quality of life, or
lack thereof, of Nagai and the surrounding areas of Uro city in general.
Once a cheerful young boy, Kai's world was upheaved in one fell swoop
beginning the sudden and tragic murders of both of his parents at the
age of 10. A short time after this tragedy, Kai's life only continued
its downward spiral, as he found himself imprisoned, an inmate at Searcy
Correctional Facility, in the Youth Detention Ward in outer Ondari district.
There he became increasingly introverted and distrustful of others. He
also quickly learned to defend himself inside the brutal walls of Searcy,
and spent most of his days training in various martial arts, with plenty
of aggressive fellow inmates on which he honed his physical combat skills
to an extraordinary degree. It was not until 2000 that he was approached
by the Janus Society with an offer of release pending extensive rehabilitory
procedures. With no other options, Kai accepted and was promptly released
on the condition that he complete the process of social readjustment satisfactorily.
Shortly after his release from prison, Kai developed an as yet undiagnosable
illness that has lasted to this day, causing a variety of adverse symptoms,
most notably intense vomiting on occasion. After being enrolled in Janus
Society's rehab program for a few weeks, he was contacted by Marshall
King, president of the Janus Society, with an offer to join his secret
group of elite operatives, Blackwater.
As a Blackwater Operative, Kai has managed to forge enduring friendships
with both Michael Sierra and Emma McCloud, and has amassed an operations
record that shines among those of his peers. Since joining the Blackwater
Project, Kai has become exceptionally gifted in weapons mastery and hand-to-hand
combat, and has shown exceptional physical capabilities, which are unmatched
even among his fellow Blackwater elites. His talents have made him the
go-to guy for all high priority assignments and he is often regarded as
someone who can handle a task when all else has failed.
Recent times have brought with them a distaste for the precise and merciless
nature of his work as an assassin, and sense that something terrible lies
ahead. Before Kai can turn his back on the life of ordered mayhem that
he has embroiled himself in, he is driven to unearth the source of his
recent uneasiness, and is determined to do so at any cost.
